Dennis Kooker has been named president of KnowledgeBase Marketing, a position formerly held by Gary Laben. Laben will retain his CEO title. Kooker has served as COO since 2002.

In his new role, Kooker will be responsible for deepening the company's penetration in these verticals as well as strengthening KnowledgeBase's presence in both the telecommunications sector and business-to-business-to-consumer industries.

Additionally, Andy Rutberg, Wunderman's chief data officer, will expand his responsibilities and serve as KnowledgeBase Marketing's executive VP of sales and marketing. Rutberg will have day-to-day responsibility for the company's sales, marketing and business development functions and will maintain his data leadership role within the Wunderman network.

Rutberg is also charged with integrating KnowledgeBase's recently acquired subsidiary companies, Fortelligent and DataCore Marketing, and increasing their reach to WPP network clients.

Prior to joining Wunderman in 2005, Rutberg was senior vice president of database marketing at Harte Hanks.

"These leadership changes are a reflection of our fast growth and need to strengthen the company's management depth for future expansion," said Laben in a statement.

Laben continued, "Dennis' deep understanding of our clients' businesses, combined with his operational and technical expertise, make him an invaluable asset to the organization. Andy's global data experience and database marketing knowledge are vital to drive our growing business. I am excited about the future with these gentlemen leading the company."
